Hello! My name is Beloslava and I’m a prospective fourth-year veterinary medicine student. Today I’m going to share my story in the world of fashion with you. Before that, however, I’ll start with a few words about another passion of mine – sport. It has always been an important part of my life. For nearly ten years, I trained in alpine skiing and swimming.
Before I got into modelling, I had completely different expectations. In Bulgaria, people often underestimate modeling because of a lack of awareness and persistent prejudices. When I moved to Sofia, however, I realised that new opportunities were opening up for me and that I could finally take a step towards my dream career.
I started researching modelling agencies in Bulgaria and that’s how I came across Alia Models. I had a look at their website and social media, checked out the profiles of some of the models, and a close relative of mine further confirmed my choice by sharing her excellent impressions of them. However, I was still approaching the whole thing with caution because of the many rumours and negative stereotypes about models in Bulgaria.
It took me a while to feel confident, with the greatest support during this process coming from my agent. Her valuable advice, detailed explanations and approach quickly helped me overcome my worries. With every project I completed, I began to see things in a different, more positive light. I realised that the whole team’s aim is to bring out the very best in each of us, so that the end result is perfect.
Over time, as I gained experience and achieved tangible successes, my confidence grew. There’s no better feeling than seeing the end result of a job well done, receiving recognition from the team, and knowing that brands want to work with you again.
Looking back, I can see how much my mindset has changed. I’ve realised for myself that there’s nothing to be afraid of in this profession. Modelling is no longer just a dream, but a path I’m walking with confidence, a willingness to learn and sincere gratitude.
